If you’re craving thrills, movie magic, and unforgettable memories, Universal Orlando Resort is calling your name!
There’s something about walking into Universal Orlando that makes you feel like a kid again. The energy hits you right away – the music, the laughter, and that mix of excitement and butter popcorn in the air. From the moment you step through the gates, you’re transported into some of your favorite films and worlds – from The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, where you can sip on Butterbeer and soar with Hagrid, to Jurassic Park, where dinosaurs come to life right before your eyes.
The Best Rides
If you’re the type of person who believes theme parks should feel like an adventure, this will be your happy place. Between Universal Studios Florida (USF) and Islands of Adventure (IOA), there’s no shortage of rides that make you laugh, scream, and say “one more time!” There is a ride for every mood – from pulse pounding roller coasters to immersive 3D adventures and nostalgic favorites.
Jurassic World VelociCoaster: for the daredevils. This one is not for the faint of heart! VelociCoaster in IOA is fast, fierce, and totally wild – just like its raptor namesakes! You will launch up to 70mph, soar over the lagoon and be tossed upside down more times than you can count.
Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure: for the Potterheads. Here you will immerse into the Forbidden Forest, but hang on tight! This coaster is pure storytelling magic, mixing thrills with heart. Whether you ride on Hagrid’s motorbike or tag along in the side car, you’ll zoom past creatures and spells, and there’s surprises around every corner!
The Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man: for the Comic Book fans. A classic never gets old! You’ll join Spider-Man on a 3D adventure through the streets of New York running from villains and explosions as you “web-sling” through the city. It’s the perfect mix of nostalgia and high-tech fun.
E.T. Adventure: for the nostalgic souls. A gentle classic that has been part of Universal since the beginning. Get your intergalactic passport, hop on your bike, (but don’t worry, you don’t have to pedal!) and help E.T.’s friends get him back to his home planet. This ride is must-do for the whole family!
Dudley Do-Right’s Ripsaw Falls: for the brave & okay with getting soaked. Don’t let this rides cartoon vibe fool you – this log flume is wild. You’ll laugh, scream, and get absolutely drenched! Pro tip: wear something that dries fast!

The Best Shows: Where Movies Come to Life
There’s no denying that Universal Orlando has some of the most heart-racing rides and jaw-dropping coasters, but the shows deserve their own spotlight! Between movie magic, musical moments, and stunt-filled spectacles, these shows are the perfect way to take a break from the heat and thrill rides without missing a beat!
The Bourne Stuntacular: Action that feels real. You’ve seen cool stunts before, right? Well not quite like this. This live performance is found in USF where it blends live actors with massive digital screens in a way that makes you forget what’s real and what’s not. The fights, chases and explosions – it’s pure movie magic brought to life.
The Blues Brothers Show: Classic fun & big energy. Jake and Elwood are back and they’re bringing the soul! These iconic characters take the stage in USF with live music, dancing, and that irresistible blues groove. When you see their car coming your way, run to that stage and get your dancing shoes on!
The Tales of Beedle the Bard & Celesina Warbeck and the Banshees: Wizarding World wonders. Found in Diagon Alley in USF are two magical performances for the Potterheads. Wizarding faily tales comes to life with puppetry and story telling during The Tales of Beedle the Bard while Celestina Warbeck and the Banshees will have you swaying with your Butterbeer in hand as they perform spellbinding, jazzy hits.

Dining at Universal Orlando: Where Every Meal Feels Like Part of an Adventure
Honestly, theme park food has come a long way, and Universal Orlando Resort might just be leading the pack. From Butterbeer and ice cream to full-service dining and hidden gems, there’s no shortage of places to sit down for a meal or grab a quick snack to treat yourself between rides. Whether you’re a foodie, a family always on the go, or that person who simply believes vacation calories just don’t count, here are some of my must-try stops!
Three Broomsticks: Found in IOA smack center in Hogsmeade. Roasted chicken, ribs and corn on the cob are all fan-favorites while my favorite is the classic Fish n’ Chips. In this rustic tavern sit down restaurant you can help yourself to a variety of Butterbeer (hot, cold or frozen) or order yourself an adult beverage from Hog’s Head located right at the back of Three Broomsticks.
Mel’s Drive-In: Found is USF right on the main drag of Hollywoood section. This retro dine vibe serves up the classic burgers that will bring you right back to the 1950’s. Pair that with a side of crispy onion rings and wash it down with a frothy milkshake as you jam out to the oldies on the jukebox.
Lard Lad Donuts: Found in the Springfield area of USF. Looking to take care of that sweet tooth? Let’s start with the classic! The Big Pink Donut is big enough to share! It’s massive, it’s pink, and it’s just what you need to fix that craving!
Florean Fortescue’s Ice-Cream Parlour: Found in Diagon Alley in USF. Be careful! It’s located right under a fire breathing dragon! Here you can find yourself all types of classic flavors and fun new twists your whole family will love. Serving up hard and soft ice cream in cones and cups with their most popular flavors being Butterbeer and Earl Grey & Lavender.

There’s no place quite like Universal Orlando – where every corner brings a new thrill, a new flavor, and a new story to experience. From Butterbeer cheers to coaster screams, it’s the ultimate destination for adventure loves of all ages! No matter what kind of park goer you are, there’s one guarantee: you’ll leave with your heart racing and your camera roll full.
When you’re ready to turn “someday” into “let’s go!”, I’m here to plan your perfect Universal getaway!
